Top 10 Most Docile and Obedient Dog Breeds

– If you are looking for docile and obedient dog breed your best choice would be the working dogs. But most of these dogs are very active and energetic so think twice before getting one of these. In this video I will
show top 10 most docile and obedient dog breeds. (upbeat music) Number 10, Doberman Pincher. The popular belief is that Dobermans are aggressive and dangerous. If they are raised, trained and well socialized
it's definitely not true and towards their owners and their family they are very affectionate, sometimes even too much. They attach to their owners a lot. They don't like being without them and they are definitely very obedient, trainable and docile. Plus, they have great memory, one of the best in the whole dog world. Number nine, Labrador Retriever. The most popular dog breed in the world and it has its reason. Not only they are super friendly, fun to be around and loving, they are also know for
being very intelligent and eager to please. This combination will always make a great obedient and trainable dog. And that is the reason why they are used as assistance guide dogs
all around the world.

Right now I am training one Labrador as future assistance guide dog. You can check videos
about him on this channel. Number eight, Border Terrier. It might be surprising to see a terrier on this list because most of them are very independent and
kind of stubborn dogs. But Border Terrier is
a little bit different. They are very quick and eager learners but it's true that they
get bored quite easily and if you turn Border
terrier into bored terrier that's not good for you.

And as you probably know, you should give them a lot of mental and physical exercise. Number seven, Shetland Sheepdog. All Sheepdogs are extremely
smart and trainable. Shetland Sheepdog is no different. Shelties are not only great looking they also love to work
and you should give them some work otherwise they will get bored. And it's the same as with Border Terrier, bored dog is not a good dog
because boredom can turn into anxiety and anxiety can
cause problematic behavior like chewing or excessive barking. Number six, Poodle. Poodles are just great. They are one of the most intelligent dogs in the whole world. They are active, great at dog sports, non shedding and
hypoallergenic and gentle dogs. This is why most of
the popular crossbreeds like Labradoodle, Cavapoo or Goldendoodle are half Poodles.

Poodles just have a lot
of great temperament and personality traits. Number five, Papillon. The smallest dog on this
list might surprise you. It's a toy dog but in my opinion the most docile toy dog of all. This is a very happy
and fun to be around dog that will make you smile every single day. And because they are so
small they are excellent for apartment living and
they mare alert dogs as well, which makes them great watchdogs. Number four, Golden Retriever. Do you know someone who
doesn't like Golden Retrievers? They live to make their owners happy. It seems they are smiling all the time and they have the innocent
look in their eyes. They are one of the
best choices family pet. They are very gentle and
definitely very trainable. Of course, the training is required. No dog breed will be trained by themselves but with Golden Retriever
it's pretty easy task.

Number three, Australian Shepherd. Another herding dog on this list. Do you know why herding dogs are so trainable and obedient? It's because herding requires a lot of problem solving skills. That is why all these dogs are amazing at training all different kind of tricks you might see at dog shows, sometimes even on television
and the talent shows. If you watch these shows you might notice that a lot of time these
dogs are the herding dogs like Border Collies, Australian Shepherds,
Shetland Sheepdogs, etc.. And this is also the
reason why they are great at dog sports like agility or obedience.

Number two, German Shepherd. Another Shepherd but
I would say the GSD is in a class of its own. They are not only
Shepherds but also military and police dogs, great protectors and guards
and amazing family dogs. German Shepherds tend to
attach to their owners a lot and in my opinion their
loyalty to their owners is their biggest advantage. Number one, Border Collie. It's considered to be
the most intelligent dog in the world and by a lot of people also the most obedient one. They are very quick
learners, it's incredible. It seems they can learn
a new trick every day. Border Collie is the breed that wins the most competition at agility. And as you can probably guess, they are very energetic and active and they need a lot of
movement and exercise every single day. As you can see, most of the obedient and docile dog breeds are really working dogs. Tell me in the comments
